Level of anti-counterfeit protection of polycarbonate ID cards can be further enhanced by application of microholograms, miniature metallic particles of regular shape and holographic surface. OPTAGLIO often delivers microholograms sealed into a polycarbonate layer with is embedded into a card during its lamination.

However, sometime it is challenging to add a layer with microholograms because total thickness of the card is limited by ISO standard. OPTAGLIO there offers µH Overlay product. Microholograms are sealed into an ultraslim layer (up to several micrometers), which is connected with carrier PET foil for transport and handling. The ultraslim layer is used as the cover layer of the card during it lamination, carrier PET foil is removed and polycarbonate layers are into a single homogenous unit.

We enable applying microholograms into polycarbonate cards fast and effectively.
